Mettle feature — For Funded Traders
Analytics for keeping the funded account
Prop traders rarely lose funding to a bad strategy — they lose it to one oversized loss, one revenge sequence, one limit ignored at the worst moment. Mettle measures the thing the firm is actually testing: whether you follow rules under pressure.

The firm grades your discipline, not your edge
Daily loss limits, max drawdown, consistency requirements — every prop firm rulebook is a behavioral test. Yet most journals only show outcome stats, which say nothing about how close you ran to the limits or what triggered the day you blew through one.
The patterns that end funded accounts — sizing up after losses, forcing trades to hit a target, trading through tilt — live in behavior. If you don't measure behavior, the first warning you get is the breach itself.
How it works
- 1
Encode the firm's rules as your own
Set max daily loss, max risk per trade, and max trades in plain dollar terms that mirror your funded account's limits — so your journal and your firm are scoring the same things.
- 2
Capture every trade
Broker sync on supported brokers or CSV import from your trading platform keeps the record complete — including the days you would rather not look at.
- 3
Review with the rules in view
The session review pairs each trade with your rules and your self-reported state — where the rule held, where it bent, and what was going on when it did.
- 4
Track consistency, not just profit
Execution scores and rule adherence trend through your BRI score week over week — the consistency signal evaluations and payouts actually depend on.
Key benefits
See the breach coming
Rule pressure shows up as a trend — rising size after losses, more trades per day — before it shows up as a violation email from the firm.
Tilt gets named
Emotion tags and review notes catch the revenge sequences and forced trades that end accounts, while they are still cheap lessons.
Consistency you can prove to yourself
A process score that holds steady across green and red weeks is the strongest evidence you can pass the next evaluation too.
Discipline that transfers
The loop is firm-agnostic: the same review habit protects the next evaluation, the next firm, and your own account after that.

BRI: one moving number
Behavior, Risk, Income rolled into one score. It rises as you tighten entries, hold stops, and follow your plan.

The weekly review grades you
Cass picks a lesson trade from your week and grades execution across entry, stop, exit, and rule compliance.
FAQ
Does Mettle connect to my prop firm directly?
No — Mettle is independent and unaffiliated with any prop firm. You bring your trades in via broker sync or CSV export from your trading platform, and configure your firm's limits yourself as Mettle risk rules. That independence is a feature: your journal stays yours across firms and evaluations.
Will Mettle stop me from breaking a rule?
No. Mettle is a journal and coaching tool, not a gate between you and your platform. What it does is make rule pressure visible early and tie every breach to the behavior behind it — which is how the urge itself gets retrained.
I trade futures with my firm — does Mettle work for me?
Broker sync coverage is strongest for US brokerage accounts, and any platform that exports CSV can be imported. The rule-adherence and review loop itself is asset-agnostic: limits, scores, and reviews work the same regardless of what you trade.
Is Mettle free to start?
Yes. You get full access free for 14 days with no card. We only ask for a card once you have reviewed three sessions — after the product has proven it earns a place in your routine.
