Mettle feature — Cass, the AI Coach

An AI coach who has actually read your journal

Cass is not a chatbot with trading opinions. She loads your trades, your reviews, and your earlier conversations before she says a word — then reflects your own data back, names the patterns in what you reported, and holds you to the one thing you said you're working on.

The problem

Generic AI gives generic trading advice

Ask a general-purpose chatbot about your trading and it answers from nothing: no memory of your last red day, no idea what your rules are, no record of the pattern you swore to fix two weeks ago. You get plausible advice that belongs to no one.

Human coaching solves that with context, but at hundreds of dollars an hour. Most retail traders end up with the worst of both: no outside read on their behavior at all.

How it works

  1. 1

    Your journal is her context

Every reviewed session — trades, scores, emotion tags, notes — becomes what Cass knows about you. Her input is your record, not market chatter.

  2. 2

    She reflects, she doesn't fabricate

Cass names patterns from what you actually reported — "third week the exits leak after a green morning" — and frames every read as based on your own data.

  3. 3

    She holds your commitment

Tell Cass the one thing you're working on — holding through targets, honoring stops — and she keeps it in view across sessions until it's retrained.

  4. 4

She closes your day and grades your week

After a logged session she writes a read of your day; each week she picks a lesson trade and grades the execution across entry, stop, exit, and rule compliance.

Key benefits

Memory across sessions

Cass remembers your trades, your reviews, and your earlier conversations — so the coaching compounds instead of restarting every chat.

No signals, by design

Cass never gives entries, exits, or tickers. A coach with a position is a tout; her only subject is your behavior and process.

Honest readings only

If you didn't report it, Cass doesn't claim it. No fabricated psychology, no invented patterns — trust is the product.

Reinforcement, not lectures

One focus at a time, revisited until it sticks. Behavior changes through repetition with feedback — exactly what an always-available coach is for.

FAQ

Does Cass give trade signals or tell me what to buy?

No, and she never will. Cass coaches behavior and process: your execution, your rules, your patterns. Anything that smells like a trade recommendation is outside her lane by hard design — that is what makes the coaching trustworthy.

How is Cass different from asking ChatGPT about my trading?

Context and memory. A generic chatbot knows nothing about your trading and forgets each conversation. Cass loads your journal — recent trades, reviews, scores, your stated focus — before replying, and carries that thread across days and weeks. The coaching is about you specifically.

Will Cass invent psychological patterns about me?

No. Cass works from what you logged and reported, and her analysis says so explicitly. If the data is thin, she says that too. Honest, grounded readings are a core product rule, not a tone choice.

Is Mettle free to start?

Yes. You get full access free for 14 days with no card. We only ask for a card once you have reviewed three sessions — after the product has proven it earns a place in your routine.
