Mettle feature — Execution Analytics
Measure your execution, not just your P&L
P&L tells you what happened; execution analytics tell you why. Mettle tracks entry timing, stop discipline, exit discipline, and position sizing across every trade — so you can see process improving before the equity curve shows it.

P&L is a lagging, noisy signal
A green week can hide three broken rules, and a red week can hide your best execution of the month. If P&L is the only thing you measure, you end up reinforcing luck and punishing process.
Most journals stop at outcome stats — win rate, average R, profit by symbol. None of that tells you whether you chased the entry, moved the stop, or sized double because you were down on the day.
How it works
- 1
Score each trade on four dimensions
After the close you score entry timing, stop discipline, exit discipline, and position sizing for each trade — a fast, structured self-report of how well you executed your own plan.
- 2
Set your risk rules in dollars
Max risk per trade, max daily loss, max trades. Mettle holds them in plain dollar terms so rule-following is a yes/no fact, not a vibe.
- 3
Let the scores trend
Execution scores and rule adherence roll up into your BRI score — Behavior, Risk, Income in one moving number — and into your dashboard week over week.
- 4
Get a graded weekly read
Each week Cass picks a lesson trade and grades the execution across entry, stop, exit, and rule compliance, in plain language, from your own data.
Key benefits
Process separated from outcome
A disciplined losing day scores well and a lucky undisciplined win scores badly — which is exactly the feedback loop that changes behavior.
Sizing and rule-breaks become visible
The expensive habits — oversizing after losses, moved stops, the fourth trade you promised not to take — show up as a trend you can attack.
Honest by design
Mettle never pretends to read your mind. Scores are your own structured self-report, and every analysis is framed as "based on what you reported."
One number to watch
BRI compresses behavior, risk, and income into a single score, so "am I actually improving?" has an answer you can check in five seconds.

BRI: one moving number
Behavior, Risk, Income rolled into one score. It rises as you tighten entries, hold stops, and follow your plan.

The weekly review grades you
Cass picks a lesson trade from your week and grades execution across entry, stop, exit, and rule compliance.

What you see when you sign in: your readiness gauge, your BRI score, candles from your last session, and the week's running P&L.
FAQ
Are the execution scores objective or self-reported?
Self-reported, and that is deliberate. No software can see whether you hesitated, chased, or broke your own rule — only you can. Mettle structures that self-report so it is fast, honest, and comparable across weeks, then keeps the analysis grounded in what you actually recorded.
What are the four execution dimensions?
Entry timing (did you take the trigger you planned, or chase?), stop discipline (did the stop stay where you set it?), exit discipline (did you follow your exit rules?), and position sizing (did size match your risk rules?). Each is scored per trade, so you can see which dimension leaks.
How is this different from a win-rate dashboard?
Win rate measures outcomes, which are noisy and partly out of your control. Execution analytics measure the decisions you control completely. Improving them is the only reliable way the outcome stats follow.
Is Mettle free to start?
Yes. You get full access free for 14 days with no card. We only ask for a card once you have reviewed three sessions — after the product has proven it earns a place in your routine.
